SRP believes that the permanent revival of our communities is in the hands of our future generations. A healthy community is measured by the structural integrity of our homes and the positive integration of families, activities, and schools in our neighborhoods. Educating our youth on the environmental solutions we have available to us is an enormous opportunity to advance the green economy locally. Every man, woman, and child must be provided the knowledge and resources necessary in making educated decisions about the sustainability of their homes and communities.
SRP: SEED is teaming up with intercity schools to educate Kindergarten through Twelfth grade students on sustainable technologies. The SEED curriculum revolves around the construction of our green homes, therefore fostering an educated community to advance the culture in Minneapolis. We will use on site and classroom instruction as our innovative approach, empowering our youth to make sustainable choices to positively impact their communities.
Minneapolis neighborhoods must be given a chance to bounce back after this economic crisis took our homes, money, and livelihoods. SRP wants to rebuild these communities by giving families a home to be proud of that is non-toxic, has a small environmental footprint, and will create a community identity that offers good schools, extra curricular activities, and infrastructure that will support this vision for centuries.
